The firm

An incorporated engineering firm, with
contractual responsibility over the system.

Valdrent operates as the engineering function of organizations whose operation cannot stop. This page brings together the information your quality, risk, or procurement team needs to evaluate us as a supplier.

Origin

Why this firm
exists.

Valdrent grew out of the work of a group of engineers spread between Europe and El Salvador, inside corporate projects where the system could not stop. The firm's two locations are not a later decision: they are where the team already worked.

What we saw in those projects repeated itself regardless of the country or the size of the vendor. Attention lasted until the contract was signed. After that the system stayed on the client's side, the vendor moved on to the next engagement, and the organization ended up explaining its own operation from the beginning again, to a different counterpart each time.

That is not a customer service failure. It is a failure of responsibility: once the system was delivered, no one answered for its outcome.

Valdrent was incorporated to hold the opposite. A small team of senior engineers, quick to intervene, that steps in where the operation cannot stop and knows the system because it reconstructed it. Whoever handles your case is the one who answers for it, and is still the same person the next time.

Responsibility for the outcome

The outcome of the system
is our responsibility.

A consultancy delivers documents and responsibility stays on the client's side. A software factory delivers hours and responsibility dilutes across profiles that rotate from project to project.

Valdrent takes responsibility for the outcome of the system, formalized in contractual service levels and in a security annex signed before receiving any credential.

Technical leadership

Frederick Mejía

Director · Founder

Twelve years in software engineering, the last five in technical leadership within corporate environments. His track record runs from malware analysis and reverse engineering on systems without accessible documentation, to building transactional systems and electronic invoicing under a mandatory tax regime. He has been accountable for the operation and for the engineering teams that keep those systems running in production.

Competency structure

I

Transactional

Operation, handling of bounded requests, and execution tasks on already-known systems.

II

Standard full-stack

Development and integration across the full cycle, with judgment over the solution.

III

Specialized and architecture

Architecture design, structural decisions, integration with corporate systems, and data model definition.

IV

Black-box and reverse engineering

Context reconstruction on systems without accessible documentation, forensic analysis, and business-logic recovery.

Each engagement is assigned to the level that matches its complexity, and the assigned level is recorded on the work order.

Track record by system type

Four categories of system,
and the nature of their demand.

Public registries of legal record

High-availability systems with traceability and integrity requirements over nationwide records of legal standing.

Transactional switching and correspondent networks

Switch architectures, transaction routing, and distributed operation with reconciliation.

Electronic invoicing under mandatory tax regime

Integration with electronic tax-document frameworks and their validation rules.

Modernization of undocumented legacy systems

Reconstruction of architecture and business logic from observable behavior.

Engineering management system

The system that governs
every engagement.
