What Valdrent is

We're not a support vendor.
We are your engineering function.

Building an in-house team capable of sustaining critical systems takes months to hire, doesn't guarantee the right profile, and doesn't scale with spikes. Hiring a consultancy delivers documents, but the responsibility stays on your side.

Valdrent operates as your organization’s engineering function: continuously available, with senior judgment, and accountable for the outcome of the system. No hiring, no long onboarding, no extra management overhead.

Without building the team.

Senior capacity active from day one.

Without losing control.

Ephemeral access, least privilege, unilateral revocation.

Without depending on documentation.

We go in black-box and reconstruct the context.

Capabilities

Four things happen
to a critical system. We cover all four.

And the team that executes all of it: Valdrent engineers integrated into your workflow as a direct extension of your team. View Development →

The core product

Valdrent Reserve —
your engineering, reserved all year.

Reserve a block of engineering capacity at the start of the year and draw on it over the twelve months for whatever you need: incidents, technical debt, architecture reviews, development. With guaranteed priority, guaranteed response times, and a single flexible pool.

Turns unpredictable reactive spend into controlled engineering budget.

  • Contractually guaranteed priority and response time
  • One pool for support, incidents, and development
  • Predictable annual budget, no surprises
  • Lower effective rate than on-demand engagement
How we price

The context you have
defines the rate

The less visibility into the system, the more risk we absorb and the higher the effort level. These are the three starting scenarios.

Black box

You only see that something is broken

No accessible documentation, no access to internal code. AI-driven forensic engineering from scratch.

Gray box

You know where the problem might be

You can point to a specific module or area, with partial context. Guided exploration and scoped diagnosis.

White box

You have full visibility into the system

Source code and documented architecture. Precise diagnosis from day one.

How we manage access

You never lose
control of your environment.

To diagnose under the Black Box or Gray Box model, we don't need you to hand over your keys. We operate under a Sovereign Access Protocol: you grant temporary, least-privilege access over an audited channel that expires when the work is done. Nothing is copied, nothing is retained, and access can be revoked at any time from your side.

A contractual commitment, not a marketing claim

This protocol is formalized in a Security Addendum, delivered with the proposal and before any signature.

Ephemeral access

Each session lasts only as long as the intervention and is destroyed on close.

Least privilege

Only the permissions strictly necessary for the diagnosis.

Audited channel

Every action is logged and available for your review.

Zero retention

We don't store credentials or data on our infrastructure.

Staging first

Preference for test environments and masked data whenever feasible.

Unilateral revocation

Control stays, at all times, on the client’s side.

We build the intelligence. We also protect your perimeter.

AI with control

Your organization is already using AI.
The question is whether you know where, with what data, and under what control.

AI adoption rarely starts with an architecture decision — it starts with a team that found a useful tool. When leadership asks which models are in use, with what information, and under whose responsibility, usually nobody has the inventory.

We cover both sides of the problem: the governance framework that defines what is permitted and under what control, and the technical perimeter defense that enforces it.

AI Governance

Inventory of use cases and shadow AI. Policy framework, per-case risk classification, traceability and audit evidence, alignment with the applicable regulatory and sector framework.

AI Security

Real-time inspection of traffic to models and agents: prompt injection, multi-turn memory attacks, data leakage, MCP exploitation.

Process

From symptom to resolution

A simple, predictable process that respects your time and your engineering team’s time.

01 · Diagnosis

30-minute call

We understand the problem, classify the box, and confirm whether we can help. No cost, no commitment.

02 · Proposal

Scope in 24 hours

Estimated resolution time, deliverables, and terms defined according to the level of context available. No surprises.

03 · Execution

Engineering in parallel

Your team keeps operating. We work the problem with real-time progress visibility.

04 · Delivery

Fix + documentation

Validated solution, root-cause report, and documented context. The knowledge stays with your team.

Frequently asked questions

What CTOs ask
before booking

Direct answers to the most common questions about how we work.

8 questions with direct answers
Can you solve problems in systems you don't know at all?

Yes. That's precisely the black-box case: the most common one, and the one our clients value most. We use AI to do forensic engineering from scratch — behavior analysis, traces, logs, and patterns — without needing prior documentation of the system.

What happens if the problem turns out to be more complex than estimated?

We tell you before continuing. We never do additional work without your explicit approval. The initial proposal includes a clear scope; if it changes, we discuss it first.

What access do you need to start working?

It depends on the box type. In black box, only the affected environment, no source code. In gray box, partial access to the relevant modules. In white box, full access to repositories and environments. In all cases we sign an NDA before receiving any credential.

Do you work with any technology stack?

We work with the most common stacks in the web and backend ecosystem. On the diagnostic call we assess whether your specific stack is within our current capability, and if not, we tell you on that same call without wasting your time.

Does this replace our engineering team?

No. Valdrent is specialized reinforcement for cases that exceed internal capacity or availability at a given moment. Your team remains the owner of the system; we solve the specific problem and leave you the documented context so it doesn’t happen again.

How is this different from hiring engineers or a software factory?

We don't sell scaled junior-profile hours. We operate as an engineering function with senior judgment and accountability for the system's outcome, active from day one and sized to your actual usage.

How do you guarantee control over our data and access?

Under the Sovereign Access Protocol: ephemeral access, least privilege, audited channel, zero retention, and unilateral revocation from your side. It is formalized in a Security Addendum delivered with the proposal, before any signature.

What happens to unused Reserve hours?

Hours not used in a given month roll over to the next within the same contract year, up to a cap of 20% of the annual bank. At the close of the contract year, unused hours are non-refundable and non-transferable to the following period.

Does your critical operation depend on
a team that’s already maxed out?

Tell us what's going on. The first call is on us: 30 minutes, no cost, no commitment. We respond within 4 hours.
